Welcome Intuit as a company to the downtown core and showcase the diversity of the BIPOC entrepreneurial community, celebrate the second season of Fred Van Vleet’s Bet on Yourself podcast and showcase the diverse entertainment in Toronto.
Experience:
The target audience for this event was the Intuit Employees. We were asked to help create an event themed around Intuit’s Turbo Tax brand and its connection to Raptor Fred Van Vleet. We turned this ask into a one-day event in partnership with TurboTax to host a fun-filled experience that celebrates both Fred VanVleet and the Toronto Raptors organization. It will also create a space to network with top tech executives as the event coincides with the nearby Elevate tech conference. This event was focused on supporting BIPOC small business success and also acted as a launch party for Season 2 of the Turbo Tax-sponsored podcast ‘Bet on Yourself’, which is hosted by Fred VanVleet and his financial partner, Derek Folk.
Results:
The response was amazing. This event had over 600 attendees between the VIP and Public Areas. There were lots of fun basketball-themed interactions: a half court hosted by the Raptors 905 stadium announcer who was running some timed games, basketball pong, tic tac dunk, connect four, a locker experience, VIP tent and more. Indigenous dancers, Desi dance teams and a Chinese Lion dance ceremony as well.
